The Swifto Team knows how much your cat means to you, so we have made it a point to only hire the best cat sitters in the city. We’ve done this by carefully vetting every single sitter that we work with. We ensure that our cat sitters are the best of the best, and we actually only hire less than 1% of our applicants. Let us explain how:
two interviews

Two Interviews

Every single person that becomes a cat sitter for Swifto goes through two interviews. One phone interview, to make sure that they meet our basic requirements, and then a personal interview to make sure that they are experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate about animals. Our staff only selects the cream of the crop: the people with the best animal (and people) skills who will provide quality kitty care every single time.

All of our cat sitters have had years of experience with animals. Including but not limited to:

Having worked as a cat sitter or a pet sitter in the past. Having owned at least one pet.

Having volunteered at places like a shelter or a doggy day care.

A 4- Step Onboarding Process

Even after all of these checks we still want to make sure our cat sitters are not only loving and experienced with cats, but are also knowledgeable, which is why they go through a 4 step onboarding process. This process includes an online course regarding cat behavior and safety, and an in-person session about professionalism in animal care and maintaining the highest level of service possible.

Accessing your Apartment

You provide the sitter with a set of keys which are kept in a secure safe in the Swifto office when not in use. This option is available only in NY and Miami.

The key is left with a doorman and your Swifto sitter obtains your key from them each time they arrive to visit your cat.

You or someone else will be home to allow the sitter access to your home.

You may feel free to purchase a lockbox and leave it in your desired location outside of your apartment.
