“Dr. Weinger grew up in South Florida. He earned his BS in zoology at the University of Wisconsin. He grew up surrounded by dogs, cats and birds and knew from an early age that he wanted to become a veterinarian. Naturally, after college, he headed to St. George’s University in the West Indies to attend veterinary school. There he met his future husband and honed his craft in veterinary medicine. After spending his clinical year at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Weinger graduated and began to sharpen his skills in companion animal medicine.
Veterinary Medicine has changed drastically in recent years to include stress reducing, fear free, species specific handling techniques. Dr. Weinger’s dream is to teach and show his community how we can truly help our furry friends and ensure they are well taken care of. His goal is to see each of his patients happy and comfortable when coming to see him. As such, he has designed an entire hospital to accommodate for such an aspiration.
Dr. Weinger has a special interest in small animal medicine and surgery. He is also an active member of the AVMA and the FVMA. During his time away from the clinic, he enjoys cooking and exploring Miami. But most of all he enjoys spending time with his husband Ori and cat Mitzi.”

“Dr. Amanda Canada (previously Dr. DeCerce) was born and raised in Miami, Florida. After graduating from Our Lady Of Lourdes Academy, she moved to Tallahassee, Florida to attend Florida State University. She graduated in 2009, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. During her time at Florida State, she was an active member of the pre-vet club and helped organize local volunteer opportunities to assist animals in need. She also worked at a local animal hospital as a veterinary technician.
Dr. Canada graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She was the treasurer of her veterinary class during this time and served on the interview committee for incoming veterinary students. In addition, Dr. Canada frequently volunteered to help spay and neuter shelter animals in order to give them a better chance at adoption.
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and is certified with the USDA, enabling her to authorize animal health certificates for your travel needs.
Dr. Canada’s veterinary interests include dermatology, surgery, and internal medicine. She enjoys biking, swimming, traveling, and watching Florida State Football. Go Noles! Her and her husband have two adorable dogs (a Labrador mix named Huey and a Doberman named Geisha).”

Dr. Levantino is a New Jersey native and earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from Rutgers University. She then moved across the country to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. After graduating, Dr. Levantino completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey. She then completed a neurology and neurosurgery internship at Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Pennsylvania. Dr. Levantino moved to the beautiful Miami area and enjoys treating the adorable pets at VCA Brickell Animal Hospital. Dr. Levantino has a special interest in neurology, public health, and surgery.
Dr. Levantino enjoys adventuring with her beloved husband. They have one crazy dog (Chimi) and two snuggly cats (Mushroom and Tigress). In her spare time, Dr. Levantino loves to run and Latin dance.
